How to control the temperature of kiln?

Time:2019/5/4 17:02:25

1. Ventilation is strong or weak - strong ventilation makes the temperature rise faster. The control of ventilation intensity can be carried out by adjusting gate, changing grate gap and artificial blast.

2. Changing the temperature of the gas entering the Kiln-The high temperature of the gas entering the kiln is beneficial to combustion and heating up. Using preheated air can increase the calorific value of the gas entering the kiln and thus increase the firing temperature.

3. Preventing cold air from intruding into kiln - cold air from intruding into kiln will slow down the heating rate. In order to prevent gas from entering the kiln, the kiln wall should be sealed and the time and frequency of ash removal should be mastered.

4. Coal filling should also pay attention to controlling the amount of coal each time, controlling the size of coal block (more air in small coal block), controlling the time of coal filling, and mastering the method of coal filling, etc.

Before firing the kiln, a heating and cooling curve should be determined according to the characteristics of the glaze. The distribution of curves is closely related to the following factors:

1. Composition and purity of billet;

2. Water content of green body when entering kiln;

3. Thickness and size of green body, temperature conductivity of green body;

4. Kiln type, structure and capacity, and kiln loading density;

5. Formation and transformation of high temperature crystalline phase and properties of billet. In medium-sized kilns, the heating rate of white porcelain firing is in the following range: dehydration period - 20-40 degrees C per hour, until 500 degrees C; oxidation period - 50-70 degrees C per hour, from 500 degrees C to 900 degrees C; vitrification period - 25-35 degrees C per hour, from 900 degrees C to 1350 degrees C; and holding period - about 5 degrees C to 15 degrees C per hour. China's ceramics are usually fired at about 1320 degrees Celsius, but at present the kiln fire temperature of some ceramics factories in some producing areas tends to develop towards high-temperature firing temperature, for example, some large ceramics factories in Hunan have reached 1410 degrees Celsius. The temperature of the kiln can be controlled by changing the following factors.
